12 Zero Waste Deodorant Products (for Men & Women)

by | Jul 15, 2021

These zero waste deodorant products work better than you might think.

If you are familiar with using a store-bought antiperspirant to keep your underarms smelling fresh, the thought of switching to a natural zero waste deodorant may seem overwhelming. Natural deodorant has held a poor reputation for not being effective at keeping smells away. However, due to the new revolution of clean beauty, this is no longer the case!

The goal of adhering to a zero-waste lifestyle is to replace our everyday items with more sustainable products. We love products that are not only good for the environment but good for our health, too!

If you are hoping for a deodorant that is as eco-friendly as can be (i.e. non-toxic, natural, plastic-free, cruelty free) looking for a deodorant that checks all the boxes can feel like a lot of work!

To help you avoid the tedious research and to make reducing your plastic usage even easier, we have compiled a list of 12 zero-waste natural deodorant options! 6 for people identifying as males and 6 for females.

What does a deodorant product need to have to qualify as zero waste?

The objective of a zero-waste lifestyle is to send as little waste as possible to the landfill. Most deodorants listed on the market and sold in stores are not qualified to be “zero-waste” due to the single-use plastic packaging. For a product to be qualified as “zero-waste”, the packaging must be either refillable, biodegradable, compostable, or reusable.
